A lifelong follower of Donald Campbell’s achievements, Keith has spent more than 25 years researching the physics and behaviour of record-breaking hydroplanes, particularly Bluebird K7 — the craft in which Campbell broke seven world water speed records.
The talk explores Bluebird’s development, its world-record runs on Ullswater in 1955, and how newly rediscovered 16mm colour film from Campbell’s final run at Coniston has led to fresh conclusions about the causes of the fatal crash in 1967.
Keith is a contributor to Donald Campbell Bluebird – The Final Record Attempt and also leads the Campbell Heritage Walk & Talks programme at the Ruskin Museum in Coniston, home of the restored Bluebird K7.
